The Joint Branch of the RINA and the IMarEST (Singapore) along with CORE and NUMI-Singapore will continue its OSV series of International Conferences in its 4th time. There is a good demand for providing a wide range of support services such as towage, anchor handling, supply, fire fighting, ROV operation, diving support, well stimulation & intervention, pollution control measures, load out, transportation and installation activities, offshore wind farm installation and maintenance operations, and logistics support for offshore oil and gas industry. These growths in both size & complexity fuelled by new emerging technology continuously bring new challenges for innovative solutions.

A 2-day event comprising of technical papers’ presentations and an experts’ panel discussion, the conference will provide a platform for ship designers, shipbuilders, owners & operators, drilling contractors, installation contractors to present and discuss future needs and challenges, as the search for hydrocarbons moves into deeper waters. The conference will consider a wide range of vessel types including anchor handling tug/supply vessels, offshore supply vessels, multipurpose support/supply vessels, diving support vessels, multipurpose construction vessels, pipe laying vessels, accommodation barges, crew boats, large crane vessels, etc.

  

The conference welcomes papers from all aspects of OSV design, technology, building, operation from designers, consultants, shipbuilders, owners, operators, manufacturers, classification societies, regulators, research organizations, academic institutions, etc. Topics may, in general, include the following
 All aspects of design - hull, general arrangement, interior, etc. including innovative features
 Technology & operation - new ideas, training, health & safety, environment, habitability
 Classification & statutory requirements - impact of new rules & regulations
 Sea keeping & manoeuvring - thrusters, dynamic positioning, trials, evaluation
 Powering & propulsion - all-electric and hybrid-electric propulsion, system layout, fuel saving
 Construction, machinery & equipment - materials, techniques, quality control, products, power plant
 Navigation, communication & controls - safety, efficiency, reliability
 Ice class and icebreaking OSVs and finally current & future innovative technology including R&D
 Any other technology area that is related to design, production and operation of offshore support vessels.
